Authored by Aton Edwards, an internationally recognized expert on disaster preparedness, sustainability, outdoor survival (bushcraft) and self-reliance, Edwards provides readers with a unique and comprehensive step-by-step training protocol of his own creation called "ia" (short for improvisational adaptation) that communities (and individuals) can utilize to help prepare, protect and fortify themselves against disasters, emergencies and many other critical threats and challenges they are currently and, will be facing in the near future; ranging from climate crisis related calamities, future pandemics, large solar flare generated geomagnetic storms to natural disasters, terrorism, racial violence and NBC war.
The book also delves into the historical context of systemic vulnerabilities faced by African-American and Afro-Descendant populations, highlighting the disproportionate impact of disasters on these communities.
